This variegated version of the Philodendron Red Emerald is a delightful, delicious-looking addition to your houseplant collection. Green leaves grow from dark red stems and are patterned with variegations that can come in red, bright white, or a lovely, strawberry shade of pink. Every single Philodendron Strawberry Shake has its own unique, unpredictable pattern, so your plant will be the only one like it in the world.
Like most Philodendrons, the Strawberry Shake variety prefers well-draining soil and high humidity. In fact, if the humidity is high enough, that may inspire the plant to grow aerial roots on its sides in addition to the ones in the (hopefully well-draining) pot you provided it with, giving it an even more unique appearance.
Philodendron Strawberry Shake likes to climb, and should therefore be provided with stakes or a moss pole to cling onto regardless of whether you are keeping it indoors or outside.
There is just one major thing to note about this pretty pink-tinged plant: as delicious as it may look, it is not really as tasty as ice cream -- in fact, it is toxic if ingested! But as long as you keep it out of reach of children and pets, it can provide years of lovely foliage… which perhaps you can look at while drinking a real strawberry milkshake.
